To provide a platform for the artists among the clients and employees of gernBotschaft – this idea inspired the first gernSoirée on December 3, 2004. The concept was successful. Some 60 guests experienced an extraordinary, creative, entertaining, and witty after-work-session – one that will certainly be repeated.
The idea was conceived on the evening of this year’s Cannes Rolle, and from its inception it was a joint product of gernBotschaft and its clients. Why – so the question – should one not take advantage of the many artistic and musical talents to create a different type of customer event?
Under the direction of Iris Bomba, in “real life” the key account person and project manager of gernBotschaft, within weeks the concept became a reality. And, thus, on the evening of December 3, Siemens employees including Ulf Bittner, Eva Dinkel (both from Automation and Drives) and Peter Brünke (Industrial Solutions and Services) gave brilliant singing, piano, guitar and cabaret performances. Highlights on the agency’s side included, among others, poetry readings by Holger Fuchs (PR) and Robert Schlund (Art Direction), the DJ work of “DJ KSB” (Kilian Scherg-Batra, Produktion), and the appearance of the “three tenors” (Iris Bomba, Philipp Braune and Bernhard Pluskwik). Visual art was supplied by Jürgen Rosner (Studio Rosner / Wax Lounge and Stereo de Luxe, among others), Mara Diener (Vienna Art Academy), and Susanne Kulas (gernBotschaft).
“Instead of hiring outside professionals, we simply hired ourselves,” said Säcko Kick, member of the Managing Board, who was quite satisfied with the evening: “The important thing is really the authenticity – and our customers saw that.” It is therefore no wonder that despite the continuously high workload of the agency, new ideas already exist about how the event series can be continued. But no one is talking just yet.
Some of the feedback that we received from our clients:
- “The rooms, the ambience, and the professional participation were impressive.” (Claudia and Alexander Rock, Sales and More)
- “It was a really delightful evening for us, with unexpected performances in such a pleasant atmosphere.” (Michael Koolmann, Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services)
- “Congratulations on a successful evening and the tremendous ambience!”
(Alfred Dümmler, Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services) - “We liked the way you organized something that was once again ‘gernBotschaft-like’ – that is, completely different than the usual fare.” (Klaus Ammerbacher, Ammerbacher Media Visions)
