gernBotschaft has always recognized the importance of cultural events. This was once again evident on November 30th, when an exhibition from the painter Mara Diener opened to great acclaim in the UlmenCarree in Nuremberg, Germany. Numerous guests accepted the invitation to the preview, in order to see the artist’s cycle of paintings. The size, apportionment, and atmosphere of the premises proved to be the perfect setting for these remarkable paintings.

The cycle, titled RE-TAKE, comprises 19 oil paintings as well as several drawings and sketches. They show, as the name promises, a “re-take”: based on photographs of a family from the 1950s, the paintings highlight the social conventions, ideals, facades and chasms of this era from a new perspective. The photographs served as the painter’s source of inspiration for a unique aesthetic.

From the invitations to catering, choice of location and mounting of the paintings – gernBotschaft oversaw the exhibition from start to finish. With the goal of offering visitors a one-of-a-kind experience. In addition to the organization and PR work, a new Internet site for the artist as well as a comprehensive catalog with high-quality uncoated and glossy paper was realized. The catalog includes not only all paintings and drawings of the cycle, but also background information about their creation. Art lovers can order the catalog via ausstellung@mara-diener.de.
