Traditional industrial architecture is now embracing the spirit of the 21st century: No less than three interior design projects by gernBotschaft for Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution (PTD) have been completed or are nearing completion in the past few weeks.

A whole series of changes have given the Kirchheim plant (GEAFOL cast-resin transformers for wind power systems, cruise ships etc.) a fresh new look. These include design elements on the exterior façade, the installation of product displays in the manufacturing areas, as well as timeline and information panels along the route to the business management offices. Employees at the Katzwanger Strasse transformer plant in Nuremberg are very pleased with a re-design of their hallways. And in the Berlin Schalterwerk plant, it won’t be long before the lobby, meeting rooms and production areas will have a new look and ambiance.

After the initial project of this type – the ISI (Imaging Science Institute) in Erlangen – interior design projects have become a successful core service of gernBotschaft. In addition to the preceding projects, a “Learning Path” is being created for the A&D equipment plant in Erlangen. And at Siemens PTD, a new interior design was unveiled this summer at the Humboldtstrasse facility in Nuremberg.
